DEADMAU5 RELEASES INNOVATIVE MIXING APPLICATION
FOR iPHONE AND iPOD TOUCH
GRAMMY AWARD-NOMINATED ARTIST CONFIRMED FOR SPRING TOUR
Electronic music's fastest rising star, prolific producer and electronic artist DEADMAU5 (pronounced ‘Dead Mouse’) has released an innovative and interactive application on the iPhone and iPod Touch for music enthusiasts. In association with Future Audio Workshop, the Deadmau5 Touch Mix application allows users to mix DEADMAU5 music using an iPhone or iPod Touch. Users can download the DEADMAU5 content onto the application's track players, where they can then apply effects, cross fade between tracks and scratch and mix songs to create a realistic and easy-to-use mobile interface.
Since its release earlier this month, the Deadmau5 Touch Mix application has generated an international buzz with the application earning a place in the top 10 music applications for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The application comes with several exciting features including 10 exclusive DEADMAU5 tracks; real-life artist techniques including delays, effects, rewinds and cuts; a unique Scratch Pad for an authentic tactile feel; compatible connection to personal sounds systems for live performances; and a simple, user-friendly interface designed for creativity.
Recently nominated in this year's Grammys for his remixed rendition of producer Morgan Page’s "The Longest Road" in the "Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical" category, DEADMAU5 anxiously awaits his potential wins at the Canadian Juno Awards, where he is nominated twice in the “Dance Recording Of The Year” category for his ULTRA EMI single “Move For Me” (Deadmau5 vs. Kaskade) and his 2008 debut album, Random Album Title.
Closing out an immensely busy 2008, where his massive ‘World Tour’ took him around the globe, DEADMAU5 is set to dominate 2009 with his highly anticipated North American spring tour. DEADMAU5 will make several high-profile appearances including SXSW and performance spots on each day of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami March 27 and 28. He’ll also team up with fellow live electronic acts Late of the Pier and The Whip for several key East Coast dates which include stops in Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Boston, Toronto, Chicago and Montreal.
