Berlin-based BOOKA SHADE (Pictured l to r: Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier) leapt to the forefront of contemporary dance music in 2005 with their classic singles “Body Language” (with M.A.N.D.Y.) and “Mandarine Girl,” as well as their debut full-length Memento. Since then, they’ve released a string of hit singles, developing their unique sound on the acclaimed albums Movements and The Sun & The Neon Light to become one of the world’s most sought-after electronic live acts today. This spring, the duo will return to the United States for a run of exclusive dates in support of their new offerings: their iTunes exclusive album Cinematic Shades (The Slow Songs) and “Donut,” a new BOOKA SHADE vs M.A.N.D.Y. single.

BOOKA SHADE’s own redefinition of dance music expressed on their last three albums shows their ability to sculpt nocturnal yet melancholic music for the dance floor and beyond. With Cinematic Shades (The Slow Songs)—released in December of 2008--their emotional and melancholic traits are at their climax: this release is a compilation of the most outstanding tracks BOOKA SHADE have ever produced. On top, the bundle offers the unreleased remix of “Outskirts“ by Trentemøller and a new track “Paper Plane.”

The dates kick off March 18 at SXSW and will take the duo through other middle-America cities such as El Paso and Denver as well as costal cities like San Francisco , Chicago , New York City and Washington D.C. Appearances at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami and How Sweet It Is in Southern California are also confirmed. The BOOKA SHADE vs M.A.N.D.Y. single “Donut” will see its official release during the tour.
