It seems like the biggest inspiration for my DJ mixes is summertime. Memories of glories past and all the fun yet to come. The scorching days and balmy nights have a romantic vibe built right in; add some chilly ocean breezes and warm sandy beaches and the season becomes a simulacrum for everything good about musical inspirations - a muse, if you will. Although this was recorded last summer, Little Black Sands creates a wonderful nostalgia for next summer that you can get lost in.
